Pol Lt Col Suthirat Thorjampa and his team were acting on a tip-off that drug dealers were operating nearby the ‘Super Cheap’ supermarket on Sakdideh Road.
Based on a description of the suspect’s appearance, police swooped in and arrested 42-year-old Jajing [A-Jo] Seyang who later informed the police of the whereabouts of his residence.
Inside Mr Jajing’s rented room, officers found three more men Cheema Jaaii (30), Area Mayea, (34) and 35-year-old Athirat Thanthanachat. The total amount of heroin found in Mr Jajing’s and a nearby room, also on Sakdideh road, was 819 grams.
After the initial investigation on November 27, information gathered by the police led to the arrest of 33-year-old Jungpong Sesin, who was found in possession of 59 grams of heroin at his house at Chaofaa Garden Home on November 28.
In a separate case, officers from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board Phuket arrested 26-year-old Kiriya Inmet - who is believed to be involved with the African drug trade - who was found to be in possession of 22 grams of heroin at Phuket International Airport last night (Nov 28) at 11.30pm.
All of those arrested were for possession of heroin with intent to supply.
