Theatrix, in partnership with HeadStart International School, is launching Outta the Box Classics with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged),a rollicking ride through all the works of the Bard in 97 minutes more or less. So don’t miss it! You can get tickets through The Phuket News at Ticket Master, at HeadStart International School, at the Green Man Pub itself, and at Oasis Ed. In Rawai, and they’re only B150. Seats are limited so don’t delay, buy your ticket today.

I, Joel Adams, a fairly recent arrival on the island and a confessed addict to everything theatrical, felt there needed to be more good live theatre here. So when thinking about how to encourage that, I realised, ‘What better audience to start with than young people?’

Outta the Box Classics was born in my desire Shakespeare like never before!to give English-speaking students a taste of the classics in a fun and engaging way. We plan to present two or three plays a year that will be action-packed and interactive while still being educational. But don’t get scared off by the

‘educational’ part; theatre must be, above all, entertaining or we wouldn’t attend. And we think you are going to have the time of your life watching this wild and wacky show since we are having such a good time performing it.

My goal is to make Shakespeare and other classics accessible and fun and to help young people get a taste for live theatre. Once you catch the theatre bug, there’s no getting rid of it; it will be a lasting and unparalleled joy and pleasure for you.

We recommend the show for adults and kids, age nine and up. After the play we would love to meet you in the puband restaurant where we can answer questions and just get to know each other better.

The play will be performed again on a larger scale around March, 2016, at the new HeadStart School, so if you miss it this time, you can catch it later. We are also open to invitations to perform this and other plays, including improv evenings, at your venue if you so desire. Write us, call us or talk to us about it.

Class Act Media are proud sponsors of the event. For more information email theatrixphuket@gmail.com or call 093 6490066
