Sansiri launches second project

PHUKET: Giant Thai developer Sansiri is to launch its second dCondo development on Phuket, dCondo Kathu –Patong with a three-day sales event starting today (January 27).

The developer expects a good response from the Phuket market following the success of the first dCondo development on October 18, when all 556 units sold out in just three hours.


Next month, Sansiri also plans to launch two new housing developments, called Habitia and Habitown, as part of its full-on expansion into the low-end of the Phuket market.


Suriya Wannabuit, Sansiri’s Executive Vice President for Project Management and Marketing, said the company is “confident and committed” to expanding its Phuket portfolio.


The second dCondo development, valued at B800 million, will have 653 units for sale. “The success of dCondo Kathu has proved that clients in Phuket trust in developments by Sansiri,” he said.


DCondo Kathu-Patong is located on the main road (next to the Tessaaban Kathu-Patong, in Kathu district),
“Our target audience is working people who are looking for a residence that is conveniently-located and has easy access to travel, entertainment and shopping areas, as well as easy connections to Phuket Town and Patong,” Mr Suriya explained.


Habitia, consisting of semi-detached houses, Habitown, which will comprise two-storey townhouses, will be launched in February this year. The three developments together are valued by Sansiri at B2 billion.

Future plans for Phuket include “another development in the upscale market segment”, but the company gave no details.
Units in dCondo Kathu-Patong will be in three eight-storey buildings, each unit being between 28 and 29 square metres in internal area. Each will have a “relaxing area”, a bathroom and separate kitchen.


Common facilities will include a green area, a fitness room and a swimming pool, as well as a security system equipped with 24-hour CCTV and key card access.


Prices start at B999,000. The development sees some changes from earlier on, with more windows in corner units to increase air flow and add more light. Buyers who reserve units on January 27-29 will be able to pay the down payment in installments of just B999 a month.


Customers with Siam Commercial Bank credit cards will also enjoy zero per cent interest on installment payments for 10 months.
