For the more entrepreneurial, there is also the opportunity to buy commercial investment property in Phuket.  And since Phuket is such a popular destination with tourists from everywhere in the world, the hotel and resort businesses obviously see a strong demand for investment. These can be small boutique hotels, larger full-service hotels, or even a cluster of villas owned by a single investor which can be managed by a single Thai company.
