Baan Mai Khao, which will be built on 13.5 rai of beachfront land and cost around B2.8 billion to construct, will consist of six three-floor buildings and three five-floor buildings, with a total of 206 apartments.
There will be five basic types of unit: Single bedroom, ranging from 59.5 to 72 square metres; two-bedroom ranging from 79 to 98 sqm; two-bedroom with three bathrooms, from 115 to 137.5 sqm; three-bedroom, from 134 to 162.5 sqm; and six six-room penthouses ranging from 260 to 263.5 sqm.
Prices will range from B7 million to B53 million for the penthouses.
Although the development would seem to be attractive to foreigners, Uthai Uthaisangsuk, senior executive vice president for condominium business and project development, said, “Sansiri has a waiting list for about 50 per cent of the units, and most of the bookings are from Thais.
“We will start building in August or September this year. Construction should be completed by June 2015.
“Baan Mai Khao is Sansiri’s first premium-class Phuket beachfront condominium project … Here, we have created a totally relaxed ambiance where you will feel totally invigorated day-after-day.
“We are proud of the unique qualities of this superior project and are confident that such a high standard development will be welcomed by customers, foreign and Thai,” Mr Uthai said at the official launch.
Common facilities will include a 70-metre pool, a sunken daybed zone offering “tranquil relaxation surrounded by greenery”, parking for 100 vehicles, a fitness room, wi-fi internet and 24-hour CCTV security.
Buyers will also be able to make use of services including airport transfers, a nanny service and food deliveries.
The gardens will feature, among others, the white-barked Samet Khao tree, from which Mai Khao (“white trees” or “white wood”) takes its name.
Show units will be open for inspection and reservations this weekend (March 23 and 24) at the Sales Gallery in front of the project.
