Southwesterly winds are forecast and gusty from 15-35km/h, and waves are to average one metre in height, reaching up to two metres in thundershower areas.

Temperatures are forecast to range from minimums of 24-27°C up to maximums of 31-34°C, while humidity will remain high as clouds move across the region, with readings in Phuket today alone expecting to reach 94%.

The forecast comes after heavy rain fell across Phuket last night and this morning.

Bang Wad is definitely NOT close to capacity, but it is certainly way up from recent times. BTW, the TMD is one of the least reliable sources for forecasts.

Gee, if only they made the reservoirs deeper when they were empty....Oh well, there will be another opportunity in a few months when they are empty once again. I doubt there is anywhere else on earth with as much annual rainfall, yet recurring water shortages.

@Capricornball, Kalim north of- and the canal at south end of Patong beach, both are normally troubling the water quality of Patong beach. Despite many promises of Officials, large water polluting continues, of course with health consequences for beach goers, especially children. It is a incompetence- or bribe setting. How many years now?

It would be appreciated by inhabitants if Phuket PWA gives a update of the present water situation.

And how about someone looking into the discharge of sewage into Kalim Bay. After a few months of nice water, even with the rains...the past week I have noticed stinking sewage smells at Kalim...and saw foam and s#!^ swirls in the water. Hotels getting ready to open??? their tanks? Disgusting

Shwe | 13 August 2020 - 13:32:40
