Phuket school’s out, summer camp is in

PHUKET: It’s all been fun and games at the 15th annual July Summer Holiday Camp at the British International School Phuket.

More than 180 students from countries including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China and further afield are attending the camp and being accommodated in four boarding houses on campus.

The Summer Camp offers two programmes and is run over a four week period. The English Summer Camp programme offers daily English lessons that include a variety of activities such as art, IT, drama and swimming. In addition, there are numerous indoor and outdoor sporting activities including off-campus activities and field excursions. Classes are taught by experienced international teachers.

The Sports & Adventure programme offers a greater variety of action-packed activities on and off the island of Phuket. Activities include cable ski rides, surfing, flow rider, Splash Jungle, ATV, elephant trekking, Quest Adventure, go karting, horse riding, banana boating, rock climbing, kayaking, bamboo rafting, Extreme Adventure, Flying Hanuman and tapeze.


In addition there are numerous sporting activities and evening social activities. Weekly, three-day overnight excursions have included trips to Khao Lak, Coral Island and Krabi.

Weekend activities have further included inflatable games, cultural trips, shopping, movies, talent and fashion shows including canoe and beach trips. Full programme details may be viewed at
