Col Angkul Klaiklueng of the Royal Thai Police Consumer Protection Division said that he was delighted by the news.

Col Angkul Klaiklueng of the Royal Thai Police Consumer Protection Division said that he was delighted by the news.

“We sent all the evidence that we had collected during the past month to the Provincial Public Prosecutor’s Office yesterday (Oct 26),” Col Chaiwat told The Phuket News today (Oct 27).

A source at the Phuket Provincial Prosecutor’s Office today confirmed that Public Prosecutor Jessada Banditmongkolkul will supervise the case, which involves a slew of charges against the developer, The Nine Property (Patong) Co, including fraud, developing land without the required permits, failure to obtain a building permit, and contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. (See story here.)

“Mr Jessada will examine the evidence very closely and if he finds that all the evidence is appropriate, he can bring the case to court within two weeks,” the source, who declined to be named, said.

However, if Mr Jessada is not satisfied with the evidence presented, he may return it to the the police to bolster their case, the source cautioned.

To this, Col Chaiwat responded confidently, “We believe that all the evidence and witness statements that we have collected are appropriate and sufficient for the case. I believe this is not going to take long now.”

The investigation, launched at the behest of Col Angkul Klaiklueng of the Royal Thai Police Consumer Protection Division, has suffered several lengthy delays, most recently as police added another suspect to their list of people wanted for questioning in relation to their role in the project. (See story here.)

Col Angkul today told The Phuket News that he was delighted by the news.

“The Ace 1 condominium case is very important for us, we consider it a pioneer case,” he said. “There are many more fraudulent cases in the property business. We will study this case very closely. I think I have to go to Phuket again very soon.”

Come on Sam, like all other actions by Thai police... this issue has fallen through the cracks and become yesterdays news...or would that be olds? There will be no follow up, and I might guess that many of the people ripped off in this project have already chalked up their losses and moved on...just as the police and Ace Condo crooks were hoping. All that remains of this case is another solid re...
