At 11am today (September 2) the winner, Arun (full name withheld to respect his request for privacy), went from his Cherng Talay home to Thalang Police Station to report his win.

Pol Lt Col Sanitch Nookong checked that the ticket had the right number – 856763 – and then recorded Mr Arun’s details in the daily log.

Unfortunately for Mr Arun, he did not have either of the “suit” numbers that would have put him in the really big money. Suit 21 would have seen him net B34 million, and suit 64 would have netted him B20 million. He had suits 25 and 26.

Arun was not keen to talk with reporters. He told one writer who did get through to him that he wanted to keep his win private.

“I don’t want to be in the news. I have a lot of grandchildren to take care of … and a lot of debts to pay … leave me in peace.” He then hung up.

On August 17 Sutin and Puangkaew Nuanjan of Rawai won B24 million.

I've made up a little free and just-for-fun page which generates your own personal quick pick numbers. Who knows, it might work - you just never know your luck! As I say, it is free and just a bit o...
