Instead of taking his chicken meal and handing over payment, the customer produced a knife and robbed the delivery man of his motorbike, his Nokia smart phone and B3,000 in cash. There was a bit of a struggle during which the delivery man had his hand slashed.
The KFC man promptly reported the robbery to police who, using witness information and CCTV footage, had little trouble tracking the attacker’s flight.
This morning, Thalang police arrested and charged Anupon “Nong” Wetcharat, 23, in Moo 5, Tambon Srisoontorn.
Officers are now investigating three other robberies they believe Anupon was involved in.
