The Patong Immigration sub office will finally reopen on Thursday.

The Patong Immigration sub office will finally reopen on Thursday.

The office is on Thaweewong Rd (beach road) about 300 metres north of the Bangla Rd intersection, next to the Impiana Resort and opposite Jintana Plaza. It will open from 10 am to 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Pol Capt Angkarn Yasanop told The Phuket News today (June 11), “The Immigration office in Patong was built many years ago but had to be closed because of a shortage of officers to man it.

“Now we have received the budget to renovate it and to pay for five Immigration officers to man it.”

The services offered will not be the full menu. “The officers will handle tourist visa extensions, 90-day reports, re-entry permits and address certificates for drivers’ licenses and so on.

“For other matters, such as extensions of stay for Non-Immigrant O and B visas, foreigners will still need to go to the main office in Phuket Town because these matters are outside the responsibilities of the Patong officers.”
