The house, owned by Somnuek Chitchaw, 53, was unoccupied at the time.
Chalong Superintendent Pol Col Kitipas Dejintrasorn told The Phuket News, “The fire started about 9 pm, probably due to an electrical short, though we are checking into this. It was windy so the fire took hold fast.”
It took 40 minutes to control the flames.
