Phuket FC captain calls on all residents to come out and support team

FOOTBALL: With only three games remaining in Thai YAMAHA League Division One, all games to be played within the space of seven days, and with Phuket FC’s fate still not sealed as to whether they will remain in the league of be relegated to Division Two, their captain Yusuke Sato is calling for all locals to come out and get behind the team.

“Don’t forget that we have a very big game against Nakornprathom ‘The King Tiger’ United FC this Saturday (Dec 5).

“Please come to watch the game, bring all your friends and prepare to cheer and release your energy to fill Surakul Stadium for Phuket FC. Please come to lift our strikers’ spirits and to get behind our president Khun Pramuke.

“Together we will fight!” he said in a statement released yesterday (Dec 3).

The statement went on to say: “We must stop crying for the things of the past .We must dust ourselves off and move forward.

“We only have three matches left, and for these games we must stay strong and focus rather than feel sorry for ourselves for the mistakes we have made.

“If we put our hearts and souls together and fight, we will definitely close this season with us as team still in Division 1.”

BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, PHUKET

Although entry to the game is usually only a mere B100, it has been decided to allow all those who want to watch the last two remaining into the ground for free.

December 9 Songkhla United vs Phuket FC

December 12 Phuket FC vs Trat FC
