Phuket expat, 50, dies from liver disease

PHUKET: Well known British property developer Paul Wheildon, died in Phuket on Sunday (January 6) after a lengthy fight with liver disease. He was 50.

Originally from West Yorkshire, Mr Wheildon moved to Phuket about 12 years ago, originally working with Sunsail, before setting up Reeframmer Co (Thailand) Ltd in 2003, through which he developed Soawaree Villas, a small property development of two- and three-bedroom villas in Baan Don.

His cremation will take place at Wat Cherng Talay on January 12, beginning at 10:30 am. A memorial service will also be held in his home town, Bradford, but the date for this has yet to be set.
