Wendy Carson, Key Stage 3 Coordinator for BISP said, “We have organised a week of transition activities in the Secondary School for the Year 6 students (who are aged 10 to 11 years old), which will include a sample lesson for each of the subjects they will take next year.
“They will spend time shadowing a current Year 7 form class to enable them to get a clear idea of what to expect when they move into the senior half of the school.”
As part of the Induction Week, BISP is inviting parents interested in learning more about the BIS Secondary School to a Parent Information Meeting in the Conference Room at 8am on May 27 with Head of Secondary Simon Meredith.
At this meeting, Mr Meredith will explain the structure of the Key Stage 3 course at BISP, along with that of Key Stage 4 (Cambridge IGCSE) and Key Stage 5 (IB Diploma Programme) to give parents of children who are soon to start Secondary School an overview of their child’s expected progress, from Year 7 through to graduation in Year 13.
For parents who wish to attend the Parent Information Meeting, they can register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
