The other teenager riding the motorbike, aged 15, has had surgery at the hospital and is now in a regular ward. He does not have life threatening injuries.
Police said that the Singaporean tourist was driving on a motorbike from Karon to Patong when the two boys, aged 15 and 16, passed her on their bike and stole her handbag on Monday (March 11). (See earlier story here).
Their motorbike was then hit by a car coming in the opposite direction, seriously injuring the two would-be thieves.
