Penang launches new events programme

Penang Global Tourism (PGT) has announced events and happenings throughout the island that fall on the LAST FRI, SAT, SUN OF THE MONTH.

PGT is especially promoting fun and interesting events that would attract both the locals and tourists on a monthly basis.

The regular events highlighted under the LAST FRI, SAT, SUN OF THE MONTH  are the Guided Walk @ Penang Botanic Gardens, An Evening of Lights @ Khoo Kongsi, Little Penang Street Market, Francis Light Cemetery Tour, Music In The Garden, Choir @ Assumption Church and more!

An Evening Of Lights @ Khoo Kongsi is one of the main events organised by PGT for the public where Khoo Kongsi turns on all its lights at its courtyard to accommodate interesting Chinese arts and cultural performances.

Go along witness and take photos of Khoo Kongsi’s spectacular display of lights under the sparkling twilight!

Adding on to the excitement at Khoo Kongsi’s courtyard are food stalls to tantalise your taste buds and craft stalls with interesting items to take home.

Bring along your family and friends to witness the fun and interesting happenings at Khoo Kongsi! Don’t leave your camera behind! Admission is absolutely FREE!!!

 This Month’s Special Highlight! – Choir @ Assumption Church – Saturday, 25 August 2012 @ 3.30pm – 4.30pm

The choir performance by The Messengers will be held in aid of the Assumption Church’s pipe organs restoration.

The Assumption Church’s pipe organ is one of the remaining few oldest pipe organs in the country.

All are welcome to come and support this noble cause.
