Young is on his way to race in the GP3 series in Europe – two levels below F1 – with the Marussia Manor team.
But he still needs one final push to get his car to pre-season testing before the upcoming GP3 season.

“The more testing I am able to do, the more competitive I can be this season,” Young said.

The fundraising site, set up by Dylan to enable friends, family and supporters to contribute more easily, allows people to give anything from B30 right up to several million, depending on their means and level of generosity.

“When lots of supporters generously do this it can quickly gain momentum and add up,” Young said.
While many people in Phuket have approached Young wanting to contribute financially to his ambitions, he
said the cost of a sponsorship was simply beyond most people’s reach.

“However, now with this site, this gives those people the opportunity for their smaller amounts to greatly add up, and it does make a difference.”

The donation process takes only two minutes online, and anyone who contributes will receive an autographed photo from Young.

“Now this is a way that everyone can play a part to support my career, whether that be someone interested in motor racing, a sports fan, or someone who just wants to see a local resident from Phuket making it on the world stage,” Young added.

A strong performance in the GP3 series could see Young score a trial with the Marussia Virgin Formula 1 team in November.
