PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) Thalang Office has announced a major blackout affecting residential and commercial areas alongside Thepkrasattri Rd, from Thalang in the heart of Phuket all the way into Koh Kaew, on Wednesday (Sept 23).

The power supply will be shut down from 9am to 4:30pm so that maintenance workers can replace insulation along high-voltage power cables, announced the PEA.
The areas to be affected include: Tesco Lotus Thalang branch; Tha Reua Fresh Market; Soi Nasad 1;
the Heroines Monument and Tha Reua Temple.
The public notice announcing the scheduled blackout was posted by the PEA Thalang yesterday.
