Kuwaiti man arrested in Phuket with marijuana

PHUKET: A 44-year-old Kuwaiti man was arrested in Patong's Bangla Rd in the early hours of this morning (Sept 21) when he was found to be in possession of marijuana.

44-year-old Issam Alsaraf was found to be in possession of 2.85g of marijuana.

Kathu police arrested Issam Alsaraf outside of the lluzion nightclub on Bangla Rd at 12:40 am with 2.85 grams of marijuana.

Pol Maj Nawee Singsom from Kathu police said that Issam was standing outside the nightclub and looked nervous when officers walked past him.

“We decided to search him and found a bag of marijuana inside his trouser pocket,” said Maj Nawee.

Issam was taken to Kathu Police Station where he was charged with illegal possession of a Category 5 drug.

I realize that possession of marihuana is illegal....but 0.1 of an ounce....I guess it was a very slow day!

Good work police!...getting this heinous criminal off the streets. Good thing you nabbed him before he smoked that stuff, otherwise he may have gone on an eating rampage...and possibly may have left his phone at the restaurant!
