Kajonkiet prepares for End of Year show

PHUKET: The Kajonkiet International School Phuket (KISP) End of Year Show – Red Riding Hood in Fairyland – will be held at the Phuket Merlin Hotel in Phuket Town on Friday June 28 at 6.30pm.

Monday 24 June 2013, 02:20PM

Students from the whole school, from pre-nursery (2 years old) all the way to Year 6 (11 years old) will be taking place in a fabulous rendition of the classic fairytale.

In the Kajonkiet version, Red Riding Hood doesn’t simply meet The Big Bad Wolf, she meets several characters from other fairytales such as The Three Little Pigs, Little Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue, Contrary Mary, Little Miss Muffet, Jack and Jill and Goldilocks.

The inclusion of these well known characters provides opportunities for equally well-known nursery rhymes and songs appealing to everyone, such as Baa Baa Black Sheep and Knick Knack Paddy Whack. There’s even a jive dance so parents don’t feel left out.

Students have been preparing for the show by making props, learning their lines and song lyrics. The main characters especially have been very busy getting ‘into’ their roles and are excited about the final production.

ARCHITECT and HOTELEX

Jessica from Year 5 is Little Red Riding Hood, Hermione (Year 4) is Goldilocks and Patty (Year 4) is The Big Bad Wolf. Meanwhile Tee (Year 5), Mild (Year 5) and Farah (Year 5) are the narrators.

This year KISP is inviting all members of the Phuket community to attend the show and contribute by means of voluntary donations to the work of the charity of the Good Shepherd and its project the ‘Good Shepherd Learning Center’.
