The final score of 1-nil to Phuket FC was not enough to carry the Islanders to the top of their league, but it helped them climb back a few places.
The winning goal by Eduardo "Dudu" Purcino in extra time resolved an energetic and sometimes ill-tempered game; and the first half was disrupted by a temporary blackout of the stadium lights.
The win saw Phuket FC climb in the Yamaha League 1 ladder to third place, on 15 points with BBCU FC and PTT Rayong - BBCU, in second place, are ahead by one goal scored, while PTT Rayong, in first place, have a one goal advantage in goal difference.
Phuket FC next travel to Bangkok for two games against Air Force Avia FC, on April 24 and April 27 - the first is a Thai Com FA Cup match, the second is their next Yamaha League 1 game.
