With TNT sitting in fourth place on seven points, and ICC close behind in fifth place on six points, both teams were looking to secure their second win of the season to move up the league table.
On a wet, slow outfield, runs were always going to be hard to come by early on, and TNT were sent in to bat, posting a respectable score thanks to yet another brutal batting display from Ryan Dunn (83), who took his average to above 100 runs for the season.
Martin Hill (1) and Dunn opened the batting, before Hill fell in the fifth over with the score on 24.
TNT then lost Dan Smith (2) in the 10th over before the drinks break.
However, a 106 run partnership between Dunn and Sid Prathu (59) built a solid foundation for the innings before Prathu eventually fell with the score on 167 in the 28th over.
The ICC boys had plenty of chances to break the partnership, dropping Prathu four times during his innings, but Yatin Halarnkar took a screamer of a catch to remove Dunn, who looked well on his way to making yet another ton.
The only other contribution of note was from Roshan Jayasuria (14), while none of the other TNT batsmen reached double figures.
The innings finally ended when TNT were bowled out for 196 in the 37th over. Pick of the bowlers were Faisal Mir (3-47), Yatin Halankar (2-30) and Imtiyaz Mushtaq (2-32).
The ICC innings got off to a shaky start, losing Vicky Kumar (4) to a run-out by Dan Smith in the third over with the score on 15.
However, despite the early setback, ICC managed to put together several solid partnerships throughout the middle order.
Imtiyaz Mushtaq (34) top-scored, with other notable knocks from Ali Khan (33), Surender Kumar (19), Anand Chand (16) and Darshan Vaigankar (14).
TNT looked in with a chance when they took three late wickets in the innings with ICC less than 20 runs from victory. However, they couldn’t take the final wicket required for the win, and ICC secured victory in the 31st over with one wicket in hand.
It was a familiar story for TNT, with loose bowling costing them the game – they let by 52 extras, including
Pick of the bowlers for TNT were Ryan Dunn (2-24) and Martin Hill (2-18).
Man of the match was Imtiyaz Mushtaq, while Ryan Dunn and Ali Khan were second and third pick respectively.
ICC now move up to fourth place in the league table after their victory over TNT.
Patong still remain on top, but the Village and Laguna have matches in hand.
