TECH: After a year of teasing, Intel has finally revealed its fourth-generation Haswell-based computer processors, featuring some of the biggest technological leaps from one generation of processors to another.

The new processors boast a 50 per cent reduction in battery power, promising notebook and tablet usage times of up to 13 hours between charges.
The new Intel chips are first destined to appear in new Windows devices, and then in a new, slimmer laptop from Apple.
