IMF: Thailand’s economy will grow 3.7%

BANGKOK: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recently released its projection that Thailand’s economy will grow 3.7% in 2015.

According to the Bank of Thailand, Thailand’s economy has been rapidly recovering from the 2014 slump, on account of fuel price reduction, the private sector’s investments and the government’s economic stimulus package. 

The IMF said Thailand continued to perform better since the economic contraction in 2014, which saw economic growth of only 0.7%, predicting that the country’s GDP would expand by 3.7% this year should this recovering process remain at the current or faster pace. NNT
