The 33-year-old was 15-over par after two rounds sending him home early in joint 128th place in the $100,000 Singha Pattaya Open -- his second invitational appearance as an amateur on Southeast Asia's ASEAN PGA Tour.
He hit a slew of bogeys over the first day to card an 83 but may be encouraged by an improved second day 76, which included three birdies.
His vastly more experienced compatriots Kwanchai Tannin (12-under), Thaworn Wiratchant (10-under) and Prom Meesawat (eight-under) headed the leaderboard going into the weekend.
Despite taking up the game just two years ago, the 33-year-old is hopeful of making the unusual transition from tennis to a pro golf career.
"My goal is to be the first Asian athlete changing from other another sport to play professional golf," Paradorn said.
Paradorn was forced to retire from tennis in 2010 after sustaining a wrist injury while racing motorbikes, ending a career that took him to ninth in the world.
In a rich and diverse life, Paradorn has also spent time as a Buddhist monk, married -- and then split from -- a former Miss Universe and launched a health supplement billed as a herbal alternative to Viagra.
Paradorn missed the cut with back-to-back 81s at the Singha Esan Open in February, his debut on the golf course.
