Gig, originally from Yala Province but now a singer in Phuket, was one of two acts in tonight's semi final on Channel 3 to make it through to the final round of the competition.
Gig performed Adele's Rolling in the Deep, and was overcome with emotion when it was announced she was through to the final.
At the end of the show her family and husband joined her on stage to celebrate.
