According to officials from the Royal Thai Navy, the Myanmar native, named as 46-year-old Thar Hlaing, was extremely exhausted so he has been taken to a resort on Koh Ngai until a Navy boat from Koh Lanta Noi arrives to transport him to hospital.

The Navy has decided not to transport Mr Thar by helicopter as they see it as a very high risk due to his condition.

Three other members of the crew were found alive and safely recovered at Koh Lanta on Wednesday (July 8) and yesterday (July 9).
