Futebol Clube do Porto, commonly known as FC Porto or simply Porto, is a professional football team playing in the top Portuguese domestic league, Primeira Liga.

Founded on September 28, 1893, Porto is one of the “Big Three” teams in Portugal – together with Lisbon-based rivals Benfica and Sporting CP – that have appeared in every season of the Primeira Liga since its establishment in 1934.

FC Porto are two-times winners of the “Champions League”, two times winner of the “Europa Cup”, and 27 times winners of the Primeira Liga.

Phuket Soccer School (PSS) and Global Image Sport (GIS) are the people behind bringing this great football club to Phuket, and this will be a great opportunity for young football enthusiasts to be trained by some of the greatest coaches on the planet.

The FC Porto Player Development Camp, being held at HeadStart International School from Aug 16-19, will be delivered by FC Porto’s Academy coaches and will focus on both tactical awareness and technical ability; it seeks to nurture greater playmaker creativity, mental alertness and on-the-ball skills to improve player competency to solve competitive game-related challengs.

The camp will be limited to 20, 8-11-year-old players from 9am to midday and 20, 12-15 year-old players from 4pm - 7pm.

In addition, PSS, GIS, and FC PORTO will be running CSR projects on Saturday August 20 at HeadStart as follows:

9am-10am – Phuket Coaches and Teachers education clinic. This clinic is open to any interested candidates, please contact PSS Head Coach Martin Hill to register.

10am-11am – Players Clinic for local underprivileged kids. Please contact PSS Office manager Khun Christin for more information at c.wolferstaedter@phuketsoccerschools.com.

Places for the FC Porto Player Development Camp are strictly limited and payments and placements are being accepted by cash at the HeadStart Office and online by credit card at www.phuketsoccerschools.com

For more information on the FC PORTO visit to Phuket or Phuket Soccer Schools please contact Head Coach Martin Hill at m.hill@phuketsoccerschools.com or call direct on 085 331 0295.
