Siam Commercial Bank’s Diamond Market branch in Somphet was robbed of B535,000. Police said the suspect’s motorcycle and part of the cash were seized during the arrest.

Police said the suspect was armed when he held up the bank on Wednesday afternoon (October 5).

Bank staff said the man, dressed in black clothes and wearing a black crash helmet, forced bank staff with a gun and knife to sweep cash into a black leather bag, then fled on motorcycle.

The bank’s security guards were out on their lunch break.

Mr Wynn was previously arrested by Koh Samui police in November last year, initially charged with stealing a motorbike.

Following release, police said the man had then evaded their capture for many months after being named as one of two men who fraudulently collected money on behalf of various charitable organisations in Samui.
