The boat arrived on Tuesday and is due to set sail tomorrow (April 12).

Built by the Lurssen shipyard in Germany and launched in 2010, the 80-metre Darussalam carries a Bofors 57mm gun and has a crew of 70 commended by Lt Col (Navy) Muhammad Hadi Syarifuddin Bin Hj Muhammad Hassanal Mega.

The Darussalam is the latest in a spate of warships visiting from other countries in recent weeks. On February 20 two ships from Myanmar called. On March 27 it was the turn of the Australian Navy minehunter HMAS Huon and from April 5 - 8 Thai warships trained with Malaysian counterparts in the Andaman Sea.
