Due to open in 2019, the hillside property overlooking Kamala bay will be branded Best Western Premier Himalai Resort. It will be the fourth hotel on the island under Best Western management.

Kamala Beach, a horseshoe bay backed by steep hills, nestles on the west coast of Phuket, north of the main tourist area of Patong Bay and south of Surin bay.

In addition to being home to the highly popular Fantasia theme park, the bay district of Kamala has 50 registered hotels some of them managed by international hotel chains. Competition is tough and the accommodation options increase to more than 120 star-rated properties when adjacent Kamala districts are included.

Best Western has managed the Best Western Patong Beach since 2014. Its current portfolio includes two other properties in Phuket: Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort and Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa.

The group’s portfolio extends to nine properties in Thailand.
