Police named two of the suspects as Vison Kumsang, 22, and Chutawat Guntawong, 18. The third was a 17-year-old teenager, whose name was withheld.

The 20-year-old university student told police that she was abducted by the three men because they were angry that she refused to talk and flirt with them.

After the woman was forced by the suspects to enter the pickup truck, she remained calm and called the 191 police emergency hotline without making them aware.

After receiving the pickup truck's description and licence plate number from the call made by the victim, police tracked down the vehicle and were able to make the arrests. Inside the vehicle, police found several cap rifles and a machete.

Officers said the student appeared frightened and had several scratches on her body when she was rescued.
