At 11am on Sunday (July 24) Krabi Police held a press conference, presenting the two suspects, named as Nadine, 21, from the US, and Sullivan, 24, from Ireland [names transliterated from Thai report].

Police in Krabi, Surat Thani and Chiang Mai were reportedly working together to track down the two foreigners, who had been featured in a video clip that had been uploaded to Youtube by an "enraged resident", who had reported that the incident took place at 7.30pm on July 18 on Koh Phi Phi.

Upon learning that they were wanted by police, the American woman and Irish man – both said to be exchange students at an unnamed university in Chiang Mai – immediately returned to Krabi to turn themselves in and answer to charges of indecent exposure, and commiting an incdecent act in public.

The woman had already returned to Chiang Mai while the man had been travelling in Surat Thani when news broke that they were wanted oral sex fugitives.

Am I missing something? Isn\'t it suppose to be the person who posted the video of the couple on youtube who should be in trouble?

I believe it is customary for the police to force perpetrators to re-enact their crime, and for the press to publish photos of same. Will these photos be forthcoming??

Why is the adult female referred to as a child, "girl" while the adult male is a man, not "boy"?
Diminishing a woman to a child is very sexist language and no doubt a relic of when males grunted at females to present themselves butt end for coupling.
Can we evolve past it?

A simple "Nothing to see here people. Move along... aaaa Sir and madame, May I call a cab so you can go to your hotel?"
Seems obvious the Happy girl and Happy guy did not know where they were at the moment. The picture makes me laugh. Poor kids. Be careful with that booze.

slippery snake: Come on, a Thai, for reckless driving, with or without brake failure, but killing people he gets away with a few thb.
Even when he is under influence of whatever, and/or not has the right thai driving license for a bus or truck.

These foreign students made a mistake on a island where all this happens daily, although less obvious..
They accepted that.
Total 4000 thb fine + e...

Rich 44, well, the yellow shirt man had his moment of glory.

The positioning of the foreign students was not at the correct suitable location either.

Wonder or the yellow shirt man knows about the enormous thai sex industry offered to thai and foreign visitors all over thailand, with many live sex shows with snakes, ping pong balls, etc.,and foreign visitors see it all around them, probably...

Christy Sweet | 25 July 2016 - 07:39:40

Agree Rich 44 he drew attention to the act and then behaved aggressively shouting obscenities and even inviting violence.

slippery snake | 25 July 2016 - 02:44:15

should have fined them 20,000B each, not 2K can't wait to get to their hotel room,

Rich 44 | 24 July 2016 - 23:59:19

The yellow shirt thug should be the one arrested,.. for "obscenities", bullying, scaring and threatening the funny young couple that were too drunk to realize folks were watching.
Hope he turns himself in and receives proper punishment. I could understand it if he were drunk.
The nerve of some people !
