Yoo was heavily involved in design of The Yamu hotel in Phuket before the hotel was sold after developer Campbell Kane was hit by the 2008 global financial crisis.
Two new hotel management brands have been rolled out: yoo 2 and yoo Collection, to be run by a team led by hotelier Marco Nihof.
Yoo has already signed up the almost complete Aqua hotel on the Philippines holiday island of Boracay.
