PHUKET: As thunder grumbled and dark clouds gathered over Phuket this afternoon, driven westwards from the Gulf of Thailand, meteorologists predicted cooler weather and a 10 per cent chance of rain tomorrow (April 11).

The weathermen expect Songkran to be wet, with rain in the south of Thailand continuing in patches from tomorrow until April 15. Temperatures will range from 25º to 36ºC.
For beachgoers and sailors, winds are expected to rise, driving waves higher in the Andaman Sea, and caution is advised.
