He was formally greeted by Third Fleet Commander, V/Adm Tharatorn Kajitsuwan, yesterday morning. Over tea, Gen Phung said that his aim was to bolster relations between the two countries.
He took great pleasure in meeting officers of the Royal Thai Navy Third Fleet, he said, and asked them to take good care of Vietnamese fishing boats visiting the Andaman Sea.
Gen Phung will fly back to Vietnam tomorrow (March 14).
