US consular outreach heads for Phuket

PHUKET: Staff from the Consular Section of the American Embassy in Bangkok will visit Phuket for their regular “consular outreach” next Tuesday (June 19).

The outreach will be held from 8am-12pm in the Naiharn Room at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort. The following consular services are available during the visit:

  • Notarial Services and Certified Copies (US$50.00 or B1,600). This includes income affidavits for retirees in Thailand.

  • Passport renewal applications (US$110.00 or B3,520 for adult passports, and US$105 or B3,360 for a child’s passport).

  • Extra visa pages (US$82 or B2,624).

  • Social Security, VA, or other federal benefits questions will be taken.

  • Updated information regarding new voter registration/absentee ballot requirements.

US citizens living in Phuket should be aware that Consular Reports of Birth cannot be processed during outreach trips.
