Using DNA from their parents, the two bodies were identified as Nipapak Sudtasorn, 36, and Duangporn Bhutkroa, 32, who were reported missing after the fire.

They did not work at the bar, Mr Chiraphat said.

On Tuesday, the body of British tourist Michael Tzouvanni, 24, was successfully identified using dental records.

Col Chiraphat said identification of the fourth and last body, believed to be that of a Frenchman, was expected to take more time because the Institute of Forensic Science is waiting for dental records and relatives’ DNA samples to be sent from France.
