The crash occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle while making a U-turn close to the Sapam Noodle shop, on the way out of Phuket Town.
Luckily, no one was hurt apart from the truck driver, and he sustained only slight injuries. He was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for treatment.
The crash caused a blackout in some parts of Sapam until the Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority managed to repair power lines in the evening.
The TOT lines have yet to be repaired. A TOT spokesperson told The Phuket News that said repairs will take two or three days.
