Minister Kobkarn joined Tourist Police Commander Maj Gen Surachet Hakpan to launch the "We're Safe, Thailand's Safe" campaign at the Duangjit Resort & Spa in Patong this morning, attended by about 1,000 officials, police and police volunteers.

Gen Surachet will join scores of Tourist Police officers and volunteers at the police box on Bangla Rd at about 7pm before walking along Phuket’s premier party street to talk with tourists.

The police box was where one of two small bombs detonated on Aug 12, in concert with the mass attacks throughout Southern Thailand that killed four people and injured dozens more. (See story here.)

They really are useless. I went to Jungceylon in the week to the cinema, walked from outside into the area where the second smaller Burger king for a coffee is, come out there go in the side entrance, no security checking bags, could have walked in with a bomb no problem, main entrances had security as we left but yeh, side entrance if you want to walk in with a bomb no problem! I wouldn't trust this lot to make me a sandwich!

We not need this thai bolstering tourist confidence pep talk.
We want the thai government to arrest the bom planters.
No bla bla, just arrests! None arrested yet.
Just a few arrest warrants, means nothing.

There is a thai top monk with a booklet of arrest warrants.
Not get arrested.

That "we are safe, Thailand's safe" campaign, a big joke, who believes it?
Do the thai feel like that? Unbelievable.

Who are they fooling for the sake of the tourists dollars/euros?
Money-Money-Money, Anything else?
All these thai officials on the photo go to see a police box where a bomb exploded during brought daylight?
Is this a joke?
