This year, Tourism Malaysia will be joining the event under the umbrella of TTAA (Thailand Travel Agent Association) and will be the first year, that a designated travel and consumer fair will be held in-conjunction with the 14th Phuket Old Town Festival 2013.

It is also in-line with the Thai International Travel Fair 2013 (TITF-12) in Bangkok which will be held at almost the same period 14-17 February 2013.

This year, Tourism Malaysia through its Phuket Office (for Southern Thailand) organized the ‘Malaysia Pavilion’ with a theme ‘Multi Cultural, Heritage and world-class modern Parks’ together with Penang Tourism, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly to showcases Malaysia’s wide and unique attractions.

A group of professional Malaysia Cultural dancers will be performing a Cultural Performance staging a multi-racial cultural dance; Malay, Chinese, Indian including the dance from Sabah & Sarawak-Borneo.

Besides, it will also be filled with variety of cultural activities and a surface touch of Malaysia’s tourism product such as the newly Legoland-Malaysia, Sanrio Hello Kitty-Malaysia and other iconic and tourism landmarks.

For some who would like to try the Malaysia-Baba Nyonya product, come and taste the local cookies and coffee made from the old-heritage recipe and try-out the unique design of ‘Baba-Nyonya-dresses’ exclusively brought from Penang.

Another array of an important element would be the great value of Malaysia Tour Packages selling by 5 selected local travel agents.

A wide range of packages from 3D2N to 6D5N departing by air and land from Southern Thailand to Malaysia ranging price from Baht 3,500 will be offered.

As Malaysia will once again play host to the F1 Petronas Formula 1 Grand Prix in Sepang from 22-24 March 2013, one of the travel agents will be selling the F1 Grand Prix packages.

The packages will include the 3 days entrance ticket to watch the race and for those who buy the Grandstand ticket, they will get more excited that one can watch a free post race concert of ‘Guns & Roses’.

Thailand is the third largest contributor to the tourist arrival to Malaysia and 1.26 million tourists was recorded last year (2012).
