On Friday leading architect Dr Bundit Pradabsook released his report on the deadly Tiger fire, which confirmed damning details of the disco’s safety measures:
-There were no fire alarms in the Tiger Disco.
-Fire extinguishers were fixed between 1.5 and 1.8 metres off the floor, making them hard to reach.
-Some fire escapes were damaged.
-Fire escape doors were made from highly flammable material.
-Fire escape ladders did not reach the ground.
-Widespread use of styrofoam and other flammable materials “sped up” the blaze.
The four people who died in the fire were found less than six metres away from a fire escape, the report said, noting also that most of the damage done by the blaze was on the second floor of the building.
