FILM: A Thai TV channel has apologised for using a photograph of Meryl Streep (pictured) in the movie The Iron Lady when announcing the death this month of the real Margaret Thatcher.

Streep played Thatcher in the 2011 biopic of the former British prime minister, and the star has described the late politician as “a figure of awe.”
Confusion about what the former Prime Minister looked like also caused red-faces in Taiwan, when a news channel showed video of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth when announcing Thatcher’s death.
