Pol Sub Lt Nipon Temsung, of Karon Police, told The Phuket News that the tourist was driving on a motorbike from Karon to Patong when the two boys, aged 15 and 16, passed her on their bike and stole her handbag.
Their motorbike was then hit by a car coming in the opposite direction and the two boys were seriously injured in the crash. They were taken to Vachira Hospital in Phuket Town.
The Singaporean tourist was not involved in the crash, and was able to get her bag back before returning home today (March 12).
