Swiss man, 87, drowns in Phuket
PHUKET: The waters of Patong Bay claimed another life yesterday when an 87-year-old Swiss citizen was found drowned in front of Loma Park in Phuket.

Pol Lt Col Prateung Ponmana of Kathu Police Station said that he was informed of the death of Thomas Neple at 5 pm, yesterday.
Col Prateung said that Mr Neple has gone down to the beach earlier in the day and had rented a beach chair, then gone for a swim. Lifeguards noticed him floating offshore and used a jet-ski to bring him to the beach. He was already dead.
His body was taken to Patong Hospital.
