There may not be too much sun, but the other elements should all be in place – indeed, with the current weather, the surf could be pretty good. Already the day has attracted 130 entrants.
The programme has been running for over 20 years (though this is the first time in Phuket) and gives girls “of any age and ability” the chance to get on a board and experience the thrills.
Participants will each get a free showbag “containing a wealth of great surfing goodies”.
To join the event, register at the Rip Curl shop in Kata before 8am tomorrow. It costs B300, which includes food and a drink. The event is co-sponsored by The Phuket News.
