Starwood to host fifth Run to Give charity run

CHARITY RUN: Following a successful event last year, Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket and The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Phuket are once again holding their Run To Give 2016 charity run to be held on Oct 16 at Bang Wad Dam.

This will be the 5th year the three host properties hold the event which is aimed at raising funds for the Pun Fun Pun Yim and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Children’s foundations

The event will offer runners two race distances; 3 kilometre fun run and 10km run, but there will also a fancy costume contest, limited souvenir T-shirts for sale, photo booth, food and beverage tents and lucky draw for the runners, supporters and audience to enjoy.

The 10km run will start at 6am followed by the 3km fun run at 6:15am with runners getting to take in a scenic route and the newly renovated Bang Wad Dam running track.

The 3km fun run be an open category with the winner receiving a special hotel/restaurant voucher, trophy and Run To Give 2016 medal, while the 10km run will have six open categories; 20-29-year-old, 30-39-years, 40-49 years, 50-59 year and 60-year-old and up.

The first male and female to cross the finish line will receive special hotel/restaurant vouchers, a trophy and Run To Give 2016 medals.

A total of 103 trophies and 1,200 Run To Give Medals will be given to finishers.

Registration for the event is available via https://goo.gl/forms/IqdND61AzJ4IveK63 or on the official Facebook page, Run to Give 2016, Phuket. Registration can also be made from Oct 13-15 at Central Festival Phuket from 11am-8:30pm, Oct 15 at Bang Wad Dam Kathu from 9am-8pm and between 5am-5:45am at Bang Wad Dam Kathu on race day.

Registration fee is B250 for the 3km race and B350 for the 10km.
