Steak restaurants are found all over the island, particularly in high-end restaurants, but there are also cheaper, good quality options available near Phuket Town.
One restaurant in particular is Extra Steak 4, on Chao Fa West Rd, northwest of Phuket Town. Steaks, either beef or pork, plus chicken or fish options, are served with salad, french fries and garlic bread, and the prices start at B55 – almost unheard of for steak in the western world.
But fear not – it still tastes good, and the restaurant’s popularity seems to have spread considering the large number of farang eating when The Phuket News visited.
Eakarat ‘Pe’ Sutiparichart and Orasa ‘Beau’ Supitayakul, the young steak house owners are proud of their small restaurant. They also have another branch on Chao Fa Rd, on the right hand side, plus two branches in Bangkok which are popular too. Beside serving steak, staff also serve spaghetti, fried chicken, sausages and soup.
This restaurant is open daily from 5-11pm except Wednesdays.
