One other man believed to be involved in the shooting remains on the run from police.

On June 18, Sgr Maj Nikom Jeanyuan, and his three friends went to the Sarapan Plaeng bar on Pitak Rd and stayed until around 1.45am.

A member of another group in the bar, asked for a certain song to be played on the stereo, and when the bar owner refused to play it, the group promptly walked out.

Not long after, the group of five returned in a car and the furious music lovers opened fire with a homemade shotgun pistol, firing five shots at close range into the bar.

Sgr Maj Nikom was hit in the head, neck, chest, arm and stomach but survived, and was rushed to Bangkok Hospital Phuket.

Four of the five men believed to be involved have since been arrested, but Pol Lt Col Bunlert Onklang said one man called Aon was still missing.

The four men – plus Aon once he is caught – face charges of attempted murder, carrying illegal weapons, destruction of property and public disturbance.
